SNOW ANGEL

A musical triumph! We performed to a packed church and raised over £1000 for the Snowflake Night Shelter. Snow Angel by Sarah Quartel with beautiful harmonies, cello, piano, percussion and narration was very well received. The programme also included music by contemporary composers and seasonal items to herald the coming of Winter.

A SONG FOR ALL SEASONS

A musical celebration of the ever changing seasons with special guests the De La Warr String Quartet and original poetry from Hastings Stanza. Beautiful music by contemporary composers, stunning instrumental interludes by the quartet and entertaining poetry read by the poets made for a very special evening.

A WINTER'S TALE

A great success! We raised £850 for the Snowflake Project with this delightful evening of Shakespeare settings and drama by RSC actors. The Two Towers Handbells added that extra touch to a truly magical evening

CEREMONY OF CAROLS

A resounding success! We sold out of tickets and performed to a packed church. We raised nearly £900 for HFS and church funds and the concert was enjoyed by all who came. A musical triumph!

ABOUT HARMONY ONE

Harmony One is an all female vocal harmony group established in 2015. Under the leadership of Debbie Warren, they have earned a reputation for beautiful singing, interesting arrangements and strong harmonies.

They are as likely to be seen singing traditional fishing and sea-faring songs at some of the Hastings fish festivals, as they are on the concert platform performing newly written music.

They also like to get involved with the community and raise money for local charities. Last year they raised over £1200 for local charities through their concerts and performances.

Last year Harmony One enjoyed being involved with events honouring women in this centenary year of women getting the vote.  "Shout! Songs of Suffrage" a concert of songs that won women the vote was on June 23rd at St Mary in the Castle and featured a choir of 100 women.  Their lunchtime concert on 25th July at Holy Trinity Church "Gifts From the Sea" celebrated the works of  Gwyneth Walker and other female composers. On Sept 16th they sang Victorian Parlour Songs as part of the Marianne North Day at the Bohemia Walled Garden. Then on 24th Nov their concert "Snow Angels" celebrated the works of Sarah Quartel.

They are based at St Clements Church in Hastings Old Town and meet every Monday evening during term time.
